Words cannot describe today.
How do you describe a moment that truly takes your breath away? Seeing that curly little head knocked the wind right out of me. Holding him in my arms made me feel like I was home. Hearing his laugh and watching his little lips speak his little words... Watching him run and fall, STILL thinking it's the funniest thing.... Seeing your reflection when I looked into those big brown eyes.... No words can describe it.
The Weenier Grab and The Blaine Face. Classic Knox.
My mom snapped this one... we were watching Fra run around the yard.
Knox got to open his Birthday Gift from me a bit early since it was SOO damn hot outside today.... I found this little pool at Targert for $15.00 and it had Knox written all over it. A crab AND something he could make a mess in? I was right, he LOVED it! I even got in with him {mainly because it was over 100 and there's just no other relief from the heat out at your padres house} and let him spray me with the hose :) Oh + he's naked because he wanted nothing to do with a swim diaper. He really is your child.
If spending just two short hours with Knox wasn't bliss enough {short bliss, but well worth the drive!}... I then receive a reply to a text I had sent out yesterday on a total whim.
I feel like there's hope. Granted, I didn't actually see the text until late since I had turned my phone on silent from earlier this morning {I was at the doctor early this morning getting my blood pressure checked... it was off the wall high the other day for no reason, but all is OK! I just would rather be safe than sorry!} - so I wasn't able to reply yet, but you bet that sweet ass of yours that I will be getting in touch with her first thing in the morning!!! Please cross your fingers for me baby.
THEN!
I finally get home from being in the car for 8+ hours {wouldn't you know, my GPS took me some backwater way home and I ended up getting lost as all hell.}, I log into my e-mail and find your message. {BIG SIGH} How did you know to add a cherry to the top of my frosted, delicious cake of a day? I love you so much Mr. Blaine, that meant worlds to me!!!!
Again, no words for today. It was perfect.
